Excellent: 90-100
Good: 60-89; daylight (cool white)
Poor: 0-59; warm white

A standard HPS bulb generally produces illumination with a CRI less than 30 on the CRI chart. This makes it harder for workers to identify colors on hazmat placards, labels, wires, and so on; all of which depend upon color coding of safety.

Meanwhile, industrial LEDs produce more illumination with a CRI of 70 or greater. This means they offer more natural colors, and more closely mimic daylight. LEDs providing adequate illumination and improve color perception in the workplace, ensuring safety.

  1. This article has confirmed my decision to switch to LED lights. Currently, renovation was going on and we were just planning whether or not we should install LED lights or not. But yea, this article made me quite confident about my decision.
